The International Arctic Forum The Arctic: the Territory of Dialogue will be held April 9-10 in St. Petersburg, according to the Ministry of External Relations and Peoples’ Affairs of Yakutia.
The forum is held every two years and is a key platform for discussing topical issues of the socio-economic development of the Arctic territories.
The forum will be attended by official representatives of the Arctic and non-Arctic states, international organizations, members of the business and academic community of Russia and foreign countries, public figures involved in arctic issues. The main theme of the event this year is the ‘Arctic. Ocean of opportunity.’
The Republic plans to take part both in the business program and in the exhibition part of the forum. In the framework of the exhibition, the main investment projects implemented in the Arctic zone of the RS (Y) in the field of transport, construction and subsoil use will be presented.
It is planned to sign the following agreements:
- an agreement on the implementation of a pilot project on the digitization of municipal services in the territory of a municipal entity within the framework of the project of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation on the digitization of the municipal economy Smart City;
- cooperation agreement between the Government of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), JSC Sredne-Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant and JSC Zhatayskaya Shipyard;
- and others.
