Cultural projects of Yakutia will be promoted in Japan - this was discussed on July 13 during the meeting of head of the republic Egor Borisov with deputies of the parliament and representatives of business circles of the Land of the Rising Sun.

Participation in it was taken by parliamentarians: Chairman of the board of the Japanese Committee for Assistance to the RS (Y) Horii Manabu and Council's Advisor Syuhei Amoyama as well as Advisor to the Attache of the Housing Foundation Amaya Manasori, President of the Zen-ei Corporation Doi Kenichi, President of the jewelry company Ekaterina, Kasahara Masamitsu and others.


In particular, the parties discussed joint activities to be held within the framework of Year of Russia in Japan in 2018. So, it is planned to include performances of D.K.Sivtsev-Suorun Omolloon State Opera and Ballet Theater in the Official Program of Days of Culture of the Russian Federation Russian Seasons.


In addition, the issues of including Yakut national sports - mas-wrestling and hapsagai - in the program of International Martial Arts Festivals in Japan in 2018 were discussed. Egor Borisov reminded that in 2014 the Yakut athletes presented hapsagai and mas-wrestling at the Martial Arts Festival in Tokyo, where the wife of Japanese Prime Minister Akie Abe was present. The issues of promoting Yakut cinema and Yakut cuisine in Japan were also considered.
