Domestic and foreign authors will be awarded for best works on life in the Far East
Russian prose writer, screenwriter Andrei Rubanov announced that “The Far East” All-Russian Vladimir Arseniev Literary Award is established in Russia. He informed about it at the Days of the Far East in Moscow.
The prize will be awarded to domestic and foreign authors of the best works in Russian in three categories: Long Prose (novels, biographies, epics about the Far East), Short Prose (stories, novels, short stories, blogs about the Far East) and “Prose for children” (novels, stories and works for children).
According to the press service of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District, the first season of the award starts in February 2019. The prize winners will be chosen by an authoritative jury consisting of professional writers, cultural figures, scientists, public figures, statesmen, journalists, and businessmen.
The award ceremony will be held in the framework of the Days of the Far East in Moscow in December 2019.
