Incomes of the population of the Far East fell lower than the average in Russia. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets at the Government Hour in the State Duma, according to Interfax.

"The extent to which incomes fell in the Far East, has exceeded the average index," - said Olga Golodets. "In the Far East, profits are rising, investment is flowing, but people's incomes fall," - the Deputy Prime Minister pointed out the contradiction.

Now Minvostokrazvitiya develops a demographic concept for the region. "This program should clearly mark the ways to improve the incomes of the population," - stated Golodets.

According to Rosstat, in 2016 the incomes of the Russians dropped by 5.9% against 3.2% a year earlier. Incomes falling has been going on for three consecutive years. Chukotka and Kamchatka are the most expensive regions of Russia.

The minimum set of foods in Chukotka is more than 9 200 rubles, a fixed set of goods and services in Kamchatka is about 24 400 rubles. The Far Eastern Federal District is the leader among federal regions in the volume of wage arrears.

The Far Eastern employers owe employees 723 800 000 rubles of wages, said Rosstat. Just in the Primorsky Krai the sum of debts on wages is close to the total amount of debt of the whole of Siberia.
