ALROSA retains the status of the world leader in the diamond mining industry. Last year, the Company's net profit amounted to 148.7 billion rubles, which is 7 times higher than in 2015. Last year, ALROSA produced 37.4 million carats of diamonds. The total sales of raw diamond-polished diamond products amounted to $ 4.5 billion, which is 27% higher than sales in 2015. This year the Company plans to increase production indicators to 39.2 million carats and maintain such a level in the short term," - Igor Sobolev said.
He noted that by the end of the year the Company will distribute profits in the amount of more than 65 billion rubles, which is 4.3 times more than in 2015.
According to Sobolev, the Company's management forecasts a decrease in prices for its diamond products in 2017: "ALROSA's diamond sales in 2017 may be slightly below the level of 2016 at average prices. According to various estimates, the reduction may be up to 5%."
