The agenda of the joint meeting of the working group on the implementation of Agreement on Cooperation between the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and PJSC Gazprom, held on July 19 in Neryungri, included about 20 issues on various areas of completed and future work.

On behalf of the government of Yakutia, the working group was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Kolodeznikov, and PJSC Gazprom - by Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee of PJSC Gazprom, Valery Golubev.

Opening the meeting, Aleksey Kolodeznikov drew attention to the fact that on June 3, 2017, the government of Yakutia and PJSC Gazprom signed a new cooperation agreement and other important documents. This allowed to actualize joint plans. In this regard, the further work of the working groups should be planned for the next 2018-2020. Aleksey Kolodeznikov thanked the management of Gazprom for the implementation of major social projects in the republic. He stressed that the production plans are timely implemented; the plan for the current year will be increased by another 170 km in the territory of Yakutia and the Amur Region.

Valery Golubev noted that "the scale of Gazprom's investment plans in the territory of Yakutia is absolutely grandiose. Today, we have 5 licensed areas, where we conduct exploration and development of deposits. Total reserves - almost 2 trillion cubic meters of gas. We must build 2,158 km of the unique ‘Power of Siberia’ gas pipeline on the territory of the republic. Work is actively being conducted today. Over the past four years (by the turn of 2016), Gazprom spent about 158 billion rubles as investments. In the coming years, this figure will multiply. Gazprom will not fulfill its plans to solve a wide range of issues without interaction with the government of Yakutia."

The central theme was the implementation of the joint decisions taken in the activity plans and the minutes of the meeting of the working groups of PJSC Gazprom and the government of Yakutia in 2015-2017. This was reported by Minister of Industry and Geology of the Republic Andrey Panov.

Participants of the meeting discussed the state of implementation of the construction projects of the main gas pipeline ‘Power of Siberia’ and the development of the Chayandinskoye Oil and Gas Condensate Field; developed proposals and recommendations aimed at solving urgent problems of cooperation.

One of the central issues was the provision of labor resources to the Yakutia gas production center from among the local population.

Particular attention was paid to the use of the scientific potential of Yakutia in the construction of the facilities of the main gas pipeline ‘Power of Siberia’ and the Yakutia gas production center and ensuring high-speed access to the Internet on the territory of the republic.

The participation was received by ministers and deputy ministers of the government of Yakutia, representatives of PJSC Gazprom, OOO Gazprom Geologorazvedka, OOO Gazpromtransgaz Tomsk, JSC Gazprom Promgaz, Gazprom dobycha Noyabrsk, OOO Gazprom Mezhregiongaz, PJSC Gazprom Neft, OJSC Gazprom Space Systems, OOO Gasprom gas-engine fuel, head of the Neryungri district Viktor Stanilovsky, heads of districts and settlements, which will host the ‘Power of Siberia’.
