Yakutia will be provided with a subsidy for construction and rehabilitation of transport infrastructure. This was announced by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a Cabinet meeting on August 30.

"Almost 3 billion rubles will be paid to six regions of Russia for the development and restoration of transport infrastructure. These are the Republic of Altai, the Republic of Yakutia, the Altay Region, Khabarovsk Region, Kaluga Region and Novgorod Region. In a number of cases emergency situations took place there. It is necessary to help restoring the disturbed communication," Medvedev said.

The First Deputy Prime Minister called for speeding up the process of emergency and recovery work in the settlements affected by the flood, noting that there is a backlog in the field. According to the deputy minister of transport and road economy of Yakutia Sergey Vladimirov, the roads of republican importance will be restored before the middle of September. Concerns are caused by the condition of some municipal and village roads. Thus, a number of heads of municipalities have not signed contracts with contractors.
