ALMAZDORTRANS (a subsidiary of ALROSA) purchased new tank trucks for bulk oil products as part of a program to modernize and expand the fleet of loading and unloading facilities. The use of new semi-trailers will minimize the harm caused to the roads by heavy vehicles and reduce the company's expenses for using roads of republican and federal significance.
In total, ALMAZDORTRANS acquired 91 semi-trailers-tank trucks with a lifting capacity of 23.5 tons. The new semi-trailer is manufactured in Russia and is intended for the transportation and short-term storage of light petroleum products. The new semi-trailer is manufactured in Russia and is intended for the transportation and short-term storage of light petroleum products. In the summer, tank trains consisting of a Volvo tractor and a new semi-trailer tank will be used to deliver gasoline, diesel fuel and kerosene to the sites of the Company's divisions and regional enterprises.
“A road train with a new semi-trailer meets all the necessary requirements established by republican legislation. Due to the lifting axle of the semi-trailer, the weight loads on the axles of the road train are evenly distributed - thus, the road train does not break the road surface. For us, this is also beneficial, since we do not bear the cost of compensation for harm when driving heavy trucks on highways," explained Aleksei Eremin, ALMAZDORTRANS general director.
Semi-trailers will be put into operation until the end of March.
