Yakutia will receive one billion rubles in 2017 to support producers of agricultural products under the state program of the Ministry of Agriculture, the head of the republic Egor Borisov informed RIA Novosti.
"This year, the amount of state support of Yakutia's agrarians through the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia will be 1 billion rubles. Most of the funds will go to investment projects aimed at creating and modernizing agro-industrial complex facilities, purchasing equipment, as well as developing dairy cattle," - said Egor Borisov.
He noted that for today in Yakutia, state support is provided for 68 investment projects amounting to 796.3 million rubles. The leading role in agriculture is played by small forms of management. By the end of 2016, they accounted for 72.7% of the total production of agricultural products of the republic, in absolute terms they produced products worth 17 billion rubles.
"Taking into account the peculiarities of the Far North and natural climatic conditions, increasing the number of reindeer, meat herd horses and the development of cooperation, small forms of management are the priority directions of the agriculture development n Yakutia. At present, we have 93% of the meat herd of the Far Eastern Federal District and 14% of the Russian Federation; the deer population is 41% of the reindeer herd of the Far Eastern Federal District and 10% of the Russian Federation," - the head of the region added.
