Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions for the development of small aircraft, including airports in the Far East, said on the official website of the head of state.

The Russian government is tasked, together with the Far Eastern regions, to assess the airlines' need for aircraft to carry out local air transportation of passengers in the Far East before November 15.

In addition, in November the Government of Russia should submit a report on state support for the purchase of Russian-made helicopters for air transportation.

Until January 15, the Russian government is instructed to ensure the development and approval of a strategy for the development of regional and local air transportation as part of the "Transport Strategy of the Russian Federation until 2030." The document should provide for "an integrated and interrelated solution to the development of the air transport complex, including the development of aviation industry, aviation infrastructure network and airlines, as well as training of highly qualified professional staff."

In addition, on behalf of the President, it is necessary to ensure the development and application of the most cost-effective standard projects for the construction (reconstruction) of airport service buildings to improve the efficiency of public investment, to eliminate the excessive requirements of aviation and transport security to the airports of local air routes of the Far Eastern regions.

"There is no doubt that the fulfillment of these instructions of the President of the Russian Federation will allow us to move to a qualitatively new level of planning for the territorial development of the Far East, taking into account the solution of a complex of interrelated issues of increasing its transport accessibility. In the long run, these are more favorable conditions for investments and people's lives. At the same time, it should be noted that when solving the problem of updating the aircraft fleet, there will be a demand for the products of domestic enterprises, including those working in the Far East, and measures of state support will make it possible to make flights more affordable for citizens, including low-income categories of the population," said Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the development of the Far East Artur Niyazmetov.

In 2017 almost 2 million residents of the Far East will be able to take advantage of the reduced tariff for air transportation to the European part of the country and in the opposite direction. This will be ensured by measures of state support within the framework of "The Far Eastern section" of the State Program "Development of the Transport System of Russia (2010-2020)". 12.5 billion rubles are planned for these purposes in the federal budget for the period until 2019.
