An open house was held at the Yakutsk airport. Visitors were presented with more than 40 units of aviation and airfield equipment, the airport press service reports.
Despite the cool weather and rain, the report said, the exhibition was visited by seven thousand people. This year it is timed to the 20th anniversary of the enterprise, as well as to the 75th anniversary of the legendary Alaska-Siberia route.
"We tried to make you see the best that the Yakutsk airport has today. The airport is not only airplanes. These are towing vehicles, tractors, snow-removing machines, forklift trucks, fire trucks - a technique without which the normal operation of the airport is impossible. In our park more than 200 units of special equipment is one of the best fleets in the Far East, "said General Director of airport Nikolai Mestnikov.
Visitors had the opportunity to inspect aircraft, from the modern Sukhoi Superjet 100 and the Bombardier Dash 8Q-400 to the well-deserved sky workers An-24, An-26, An-3 and Mi-8 helicopters. Also, an extensive fleet of airfield equipment was presented to their attention.
