July 8-15 Yakutsk will host 1st International Science Games. It is planned that more than 1.500 students from different regions of Russia and foreign countries will take part in the events. Now applications for participation were submitted by representatives of 42 countries.
"The republic is preparing now for a new event. These are international intellectual games that start in early July. Previously, representatives from about 42 countries, including delegations from Mongolia, China, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, Iran, Iraq, the UAE, the CIS, plan to participate in them. We also expect a lot of guests from Russian regions. The event can be attended by children from 10 to 16 years,” said a representative of the Department of Local Production, Entrepreneurship, Infrastructure and Tourism of the Ministry of Development and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Olga Ularova.
International Science Games are held on the initiative of the head of Yakutia Egor Borisov. Games are aimed at developing the scientific and technical creativity of children and youth, strengthening international cooperation with the countries of Asia.
Within the classical competition program of the event will be held international olympiads in the subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Informatics; an international school scientific conference with oral presentations on various topical areas of research.
At the heart of the modern program there is a competitive element. There will be competitions in robotics, Robot Games, team development of software applications, development and design of EI-models and EI-printing. STEM projects will be evaluated to solve urgent scientific and technical problems. A large-scale out-of-competition program is expected, which includes mass entertainment events that promote science, technology and of an international unifying character.
Among the out-of-competition events, there are an international children's media science school, an exhibition of research works of schoolchildren, master classes of famous scientists, a technology show. For the participants will be held public lectures of famous figures of science, culture, business and politics. Round tables will be held on current scientific and technical problems and a research and practice symposium on gifted education.
