Six journalists from the USA, Slovenia, Cuba and China arrived in Yakutsk
They will attend the events of the ‘Winter Starts In Yakutia’ Festival, visit the ‘Sakha’ National Broadcasting Company, take a trip to the energy-efficient residential block in Zhatai, the livestock complex and the ‘Sayuri’ year-round greenhouse, and also meet with the head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev, reports YSIA.
The press photographer of the Xinhua News Agency Wu Chuang noted that Yakut diamonds are very famous in the world, and also said that he was aware of the rivalry between Oymyakon and Verkhoyansk for the title of the Pole of Cold.
A foreign journalists’ press tour runs from November 29 to December 2. The visit program also includes a visit to the Treasury of the Republic, the Mammoth Museum, 'EPL Diamond' lapidary production and 'Chochur Muran' ethnographic complex, where the foreigners will be treated to stroganina and will ride dogs.
During the trip to the hotel, guests were interested in climate, engineering communications, located above the ground, population and other issues.
The press tour is organized the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation as part of a program of traveling press tours across Russia for foreign media representatives accredited to the Ministry on an ongoing basis.
