Mobile detachments of underwater sabotage forces and means will appear in the Arctic. Swimmers will protect the ships of the Northern Fleet from saboteurs from the sea and from land, the General Headquarters of the Russian Navy told Izvestia. The first such unit already exists in Severomorsk.
Mobile detachments of underwater sabotage forces and means consist of the military serving by contract. They deal with diving, parachuting, assault and mountain training. At the disposal of the fighters are speedboats and weapons, allowing to destroy the enemy, even under water. Flying drones, fixing enemy swimmers at a depth of several meters, help to detect saboteurs, and hydrophones hidden in containers at the bottom or at the berths.
