In ALROSA, the first stage of the Language of Ancestors children's competition, dedicated to the celebration of the International Year of Indigenous Languages in 2019 under the auspices of the UN, is completed.
Applications were accepted until March 29, 2019. In total, 192 applications from various locations in the republic were submitted to the competition: Suldyukar village of Mirny ulus, Cheneke village of Vilyuisk ulus, Maar village of Nyurba ulus, Tuluna village of Ust-Aldan ulus, Olenegorsk village and Chokurdakh village of Allaikha ulus, Churapcha village of Churapchinsky ulus, Yuryung-Khaya village of Anabar ulus, Iengra village of Neryungri ulus, Udachny, Mirny, Yakutsk, etc.
“Among the applications received there are for both solo and group performances. Age of participants ranged from 7 to 18 years. When all applications are processed, the route is arranged, the competition commission will begin its work onsite. The date, place and time of the competition will be announced to all participants, who filed an application," the press service of the Company commented.
