The volume of subventions for Yakutia from the federal budget for the execution of delegated powers in the field of forest relations will be 873.6 million rubles. Increased funding will allow to purchase equipment and active management of reforestation.
Recall that in October this year, the Rosleskhoz (Federal Forestry Agency) held a meeting between the head of the republic, Aisen Nikolaev, and the head of the federal department, Ivan Valentik, where the parties discussed the protection of Yakutia’s forests from fires. Following the meeting, Valentik agreed with the arguments of the head of the region and announced an increase in funding for the timely and effective execution of the delegated powers.
On November 13, financing issues for the next year were considered at a working meeting in Moscow between the Deputy Ministers of Ecology, Environment and Forestry of the RS (Y), Aleksey Ageyev and Yakov Zarovnyaev, with the Deputy Head of the Federal Forestry Agency, Nikolai Krotov. The total planned volume of subventions from the federal budget for the execution of delegated powers in the field of forest relations of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for 2019 will be 873.6 million rubles, 247 million rubles more than planned financing for 2017.
Additional funds will be directed to the acquisition of forest fire, forestry and supervisory technology. In addition, funding has been increased for reforestation activities.
The limits of subventions under the federal ‘Forest Preservation’ program were also approved within the framework of the national ‘Ecology’ project: 91.763 million rubles for 2019 and then annually until 2024, reported in the Ministry of Environment of RS (Y).
