The equipment of checkpoints at the border will be fully prepared for the influx of foreigners by August 1. This was announced by Minister for the Development of the Far East Aleksandr Galushka.

"We have found money to equip checkpoints. It is determined that on July 1 test operation will begin. On August 1 the checkpoints will start working 100%," - added Aleksandr Galushka.
In addition to Minskostokrazvitiya, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Communications and the Frontier Service of the Federal Security Service are involved in the implementation of the new order of entry.
Previously, the entry of foreigners into Primorye, Khabarovsk, Sakhalin, and Chukotka was simplified. Tourists need to only send an application on the Foreign Ministry website four days before arrival. Then show your passport at the border. An electronic visa will entitle you to stay in Russia for eight days and will be valid for 30 days. It is important that visas will be issued free of charge, without consular fees. In this case, travel is allowed only throughout the region where the entry was carried out.
