The head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, took part in the press conference of the TASS agency on preparations for the Days of the Far East in Moscow
“Days of the Far East are becoming a good tradition for all Far Eastern regions and the capital of Russia. They serve an important goal: that as many people as possible in the country understand the need for the development of the Far East,” said Aisen Nikolaev.
As the head of the republic said, the main focus of Yakutia this year will be on the business program of Days of the Far East. The region will hold a series of round tables with the participation of leading Russian experts, business circles, and heads of large companies. Round tables are planned on tourism and promotion of tourism products of Yakutia, discussion of the Republic’s Development Strategy until 2032, development of IT-technologies and information start-ups.
The head of Yakutia stressed that the IT capital of the Far East today is Yakutsk. “We have something to show the country. In Yakutia, there are serious companies successfully developing on the international market and many promising startups. There are projects that are moving forward with Vnesheconombank today,” noted Nikolaev. In his opinion, the event will be useful for IT specialists and all those who are interested in the development of digital economy.
In addition, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Yakutia will hold a panel discussion on the export potential of the region. “We will discuss the promotion of Yakut goods to foreign markets. Yakutia will take an active part in the cultural program of the Days of the Far East in Moscow. As Aisen Nikolaev notes, it is in Yakutsk that on December 1 the first Christmas tree of the country will be officially lit as part of the 'Winter Starts In Yakutia' Festival.
