According to the concept of the federal target program "Development of inbound and outbound tourism in the Russian Federation" in the Far East, three promising tourist integrated investment projects in the sphere of cruise travel are planned: Amur (Khabarovsk Krai, Amur Region, Jewish Autonomous Region), Primorye (Primorsky Krai), Kamchatka-Sakhalin (Kamchatka Krai and Sakhalin Region).
"These projects have high tourist attractiveness for Russians and foreign citizens. We have repeatedly drawn the attention of our colleagues to insufficient attention to Sakhalin and Kamchatka. Our appeals were heard. New directions are indicated in the concept," explained the Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for Development of the Far East Artur Niyazmetov.
According to the deputy head of the Ministry for Development of Russian Far East, the creation of tourist clusters in the Far East is possible, including in the advanced development zones. "Funds from the federal budget will be allocated for the construction and reconstruction of facilities providing the infrastructure of tourist investment projects. In addition, special attention will be paid to the formation of tourist clusters in Komsomolsk-on-Amur in Khabarovsk Krai and on Russky Island in Primorye," he said.
The Deputy Minister reminded that within the support of investors in the Far East, 91 projects are currently being implemented in the tourism sector with a total investment volume of 43.8 billion rubles, which, according to the results, will create 5.878 new jobs, of which 56 projects are in Primorsky Krai with a total amount to 28.6 billion rubles.
