The new status can increase the amount of financing of the Lena Pillars Natural Park several times, thanks to it the amount of funds for the protection and reproduction of the forest fund will increase, the number of personnel will double, and the infrastructure will be improved.

The decision on giving the Lena Pillars Park the status of national was signed by the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.

The tourist destination will receive more funding and protection. Also it is planned to improve the infrastructure in the Nature Park.

The Lena Pillars is one of the ten most popular natural interests of Russia included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Every year 15 thousand tourists visit it. The Nature Park is the fourth in the Far East that has received the World Heritage status.
